About the Role

Assist service users with daily personal care tasks such as dressing, undressing, washing, toileting, and bathing. Serve meals and assist with feeding as required. Monitor health conditions, report changes to healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate health records. Provide companionship and emotional support, engage users in stimulating activities, and ensure their comfort and well-being. Assist with light cleaning, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and ensure effective communication within the care team.

Requirements

  1. Experience in Personal Care and Support:

    • Proven experience in assisting service users with personal care tasks such as dressing, undressing, washing, toileting, and bathing.

    • Ability to serve meals and assist with feeding if required.

    • Knowledge of best practices for maintaining the overall comfort and well-being of service users.

  2. Engagement and Activity Coordination:

    • Ability to provide stimulating activities and interests to engage service users during community music therapy sessions.

    • Experience in assisting with daily activities and light cleaning/domestic duties, including meal preparation.

    • Strong communication skills to interact positively with service users, encouraging their participation in activities.

  3. Monitoring and Record Keeping:

    • Ability to monitor service users' conditions and contribute to accurate record-keeping.

    • Experience liaising with professional staff to implement and follow care plans effectively.

    • Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough and precise documentation.

  4. Flexibility and Willingness to Travel:

    • Availability to travel extensively during peak seasons, including spring and summer festivals, festive season, and New Year's events.

    • Adaptability to work in various environments and manage on-site care challenges efficiently.

    • Strong organisational skills to coordinate travel logistics and care supplies.
